Armed with a basic gun you move with the left stick, aim with the right, melee with L1 and shoot with R1/R2 – The initial mission teaches you how one wrong move and you could alert the other hostiles who may execute the hostages or home in on your location and try to take you out. You start off as a JYDGE, one of the police’s new initiative crime-fighting measures, and you are dropped right into your first mission, rescue the hostages and take out any hostile criminal. The game is simple in premise but deep in mechanics and customisations. Whilst not officially anything to do with Judge Dredd or Mega-City One, I couldn’t stop my mind from thinking I was Dredd, running in there to uphold the law whether the suspects deserved it or not!

Make sure to visit the Weapon Accessories page.Imagine the top-down, quick response gameplay of Hotline Miami mixed with the unstoppable Judge Dredd, performing his job by sentencing the criminals and freeing the innocent whilst destroying anything that gets in his way – Sounds good doesn’t it! This is what I felt while playing JYDGE, by 10tons, on the PS4 Pro this weekend.

If you don't want to possibly give away your location, or it's not dark, you can use a Flash Suppressor or regular Suppressor. If you're running in tight corridors in a dark area, it's best to use a Personal Defense Weapon or Carbine with a Red Dot or Holographic Sight, a Foregrip or Extended Mag on the Primary Slot, and a Tactical Light or Laser Sight on the Secondary Sight to blind enemies. Read more about Bullet Drop in Advanced Tactics. If you do use the Suppressor, you will have to greatly alter your shots to compensate for Bullet Drop. If you're doing long range Sniping, it's best to use a Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle with a Ballistic (12x) scope for increased zoom, a Bipod for sway elimination, and either a Heavy Barrel for increased accuracy and power, or a Suppressor to remove muzzle flash. Use the different Accessories to make the most out of your weapon. The later Accessories require more kills. You must unlock each Accessory for each weapon by killing 10-25 people. You can place one Accessory on each of the three sections for each primary weapon you use. Optics are the different scopes and sights you can place on a weapon, Primary consists mainly of underbarrel modifications, and Secondary consists of barrel and ammo modifications. The Accessories are split up into three sections: Optics, Primary, and Secondary.

Accessories are special attachments or modifications you can make to your gun that are useful for different situations. You fire your weapon and it becomes 0/114īattlefield 3 has added a ton of Accessories for each weapon. You fire your weapon and it becomes 25/120.You will start out with an extra round in your chamber 31/120.Furthermore, if you completely empty your gun, it will take about a second longer to reload your weapon.Ī quick example would be if you had 30 rounds per magazine and 120 rounds extra. If you completely empty your weapon, you will only have the ammunition that can be held in the magazine. This is supposed to resemble a tactical reload. The reload time will be a lot quicker, too. Every time you reload with at least one bullet in your gun, you will still have that extra bullet in your chamber. This extra round is in the chamber of the weapon (the chamber being the area that keeps the round before it is fired out of the barrel).

When you start out, almost all of the weapons will start out with a full magazine of ammo, plus one round extra. It's a bit more complicated this time around. In previous Battlefields, you would reload your weapon to get the rest of your ammo to fit in your current magazine (a magazine being the item that holds your ammunition). It's best to use Semi Auto when firing long range, Full Auto is best for close range, while Burst Fire is best for medium range.Īnother simple concept has been altered for Battlefield 3. Your hands on screen will do a slight motion signifying the change, and it's done. All you have to do is click DOWN on the D-PAD for consoles to switch between the different fire modes. Some even have the option for two round or three round Bursts.
